Bangkok, Thailand – On Saturday, 9th November 2024, Wellington College International School Bangkok will host the 2nd Thailand Festival of Education, bringing together hundreds of educators from Bangkok and beyond for a day dedicated to advancing teaching, learning, and professional collaboration. The Festival, founded by Wellington College in the UK, continues its mission to inspire and empower educators with the latest thinking and practice in education.
This year’s event features a compelling keynote by Sir Anthony Seldon, a distinguished education leader and author, who will open the Festival with a session entitled “The Future of AI in Learning and Education.” Sir Anthony will explore how artificial intelligence could reshape education, challenging traditional models and offering new pathways for schools and educators to enhance the learning experience. His talk will reflect on education’s journey to date and ask fundamental questions about what the future holds and how best to prepare for it.
With a robust line-up of over 45 sessions, the Festival offers a diverse programme designed to engage educators across a broad spectrum of topics. From coaching and cognitive science to wellbeing and the art and science of teaching, the event provides valuable insights and practical strategies that attendees can take back to their schools. Each session has been crafted to address both current challenges and future possibilities, ensuring a rich, dynamic experience for everyone involved.
“We are thrilled to be bringing the Festival of Education back to Thailand, as part of Wellington College’s global commitment to supporting educators everywhere,” said Shane, co-director of the Festival and CEO of EducationScape, the organisation behind the Festival. “Our programme is packed with the ideas, innovation, and connections that are vital to modern education, and we’re looking forward to welcoming a truly international audience.”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore an exhibitor area featuring leading organisations in the education sector, showcasing resources, tools, and technology designed to support today’s schools. From curriculum materials to cutting-edge tech solutions, the exhibitor area will offer plenty of ideas to help educators enhance their classrooms and schools.
With hundreds of teachers, leaders, and education experts gathering for this inspiring event, the Thailand Festival of Education promises to be an unmissable day for anyone invested in the future of learning.
